POWER ACCESS CARD

Skiing & Snowboarding FAQ

A New Way to Access Your Mountain

The Power Access Card is a reusable RFID card that gives you hands-free access to your Mountain. It isn’t a season pass or a lift ticket: it’s an access card linked to your guest record, so the lift tickets, season pass and summer activities you buy all live on one card. Guests print theirs in seconds at a mountain kiosk using the QR code in their pickup email.

What is the Power Access Card?

Think of it as your key to the mountain. Your Power Access Card is linked to you (your guest record), not to any one pass or ticket. Whatever you buy, from a season pass to a single day on the hill, connects to that record, and your card is how you get to it. It uses RFID, so it stays in your pocket while our lift team scans it hands-free.

Your card is personal: it’s linked to your guest record and it’s for you only. If your card is lost, contact guest services at a Power Pass mountain immediately. A replacement card costs $5. Gift cards, wallet balances, and other information linked to your guest record may be accessible to someone else if your card is misplaced.

One card for everything you buy

One card holds it all. Say you have a 4-day pass at Purgatory and you also pick up some $9 lift tickets: you use the same Power Access Card for all of it. Next summer, that same card works for mountain biking, and the season after, for a lift ticket or a new season pass. One card, lots of ways to enjoy the Freedom To Ski.

How to get your Power Access Card

Season Passholders

  • Watch for your pickup email. When the kiosk at your mountain is ready, we’ll email you a QR code and simple instructions. Kiosks come online ahead of each opening day, mountain by mountain.
  • One email per passholder. For this first rollout, every passholder receives their own separate email with their own QR code. If several people in your family have passes, look for one email for each person.
  • Visit any U.S. Power Pass mountain kiosk. Passholders can print their card at a kiosk at any U.S. Power Pass mountain

No cards are mailed this season, so there’s no waiting on the mailbox. Pickup is a one-time stop.

Lift Ticket Guests

Lift ticket guests follow the same process as passholders: we email you a QR code. Scan it at a kiosk at the mountain your ticket is for, and your card prints in seconds. Guests with 12 & Under and 75 & Older free lift tickets must visit a ticket couter to get their lift tickets. Please bring age proper age verification.

How to print your card at a kiosk

  1. Open your pickup email and have your QR code ready (on your phone or printed).
  2. Scan your QR code at the kiosk.
  3. Your card prints in seconds. If you have more than one email (one per passholder), scan each QR code to print each card.
  4. Pocket it and go. Card in one pocket, phone in another, and you’re ready for the lift.

Opening weekend is always a busy one, so give yourself a few extra minutes on your first day.

Where are the kiosks?

Lee Canyon

  • 3 in the Bristlecone Base Area near ticket office
  • 2 at Ponderosa Base Area by rentals

Kiosks are going live mountain by mountain, ahead of each opening day. Kiosk locations for each mountain are coming soon.

At the lift: hands-free access

Keep your card in your pocket and walk on up. Our lift team scans it hands-free, so there’s no digging through layers with your gloves on. For the cleanest read, keep your card and your phone in separate pockets.

Keep it and reuse it

Hang on to your card when the season wraps. The card is built to be reused in the future for any new product you buy: tickets, summer activities or a new season pass.

Lost card or need help?

Every kiosk points the way to the guest services office, and our team is happy to help. If you lose your card, contact guest services at a Power Pass mountain immediately. A replacement card costs $5. Gift cards, wallet balances, and other information linked to your guest record may be accessible to someone else if your card is misplaced.

Can’t find your pickup email? Talk to Guest Services at your mountain, and our team will help.

You’ll need a new Power Access Card this winter. Cards from last winter won’t work at the lifts. Pick one up free at a kiosk (or Guest Services) after you buy your pass or tickets — then keep using that same card for years

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Power Access Card

The Power Access Card is a reusable RFID card that gives you hands-free access to your Mountain. It is an access card linked to your guest record, not to any single product, so the lift tickets, season pass or summer activities you buy all live on the same card.

Is the Power Access Card my season pass?

No. The Power Access Card is not a season pass and it is not a lift ticket. It’s an access card linked to your guest record. Your season pass, your lift tickets and any other products you buy are connected to that record, and your card is how you access them at the mountain.

Can I use one card for more than one product?

Yes. One card holds everything. For example, if you have a 4-day pass at Purgatory and also buy $9 lift tickets, you use the same Power Access Card for all of it. You can use that same card next summer for mountain biking, or for a lift ticket the following season.

Can I reuse it?

Yes. Hang on to your card. It is built to be reused in the future for any new product you buy: lift tickets, summer activities or a new season pass.

How do passholders get their card?

Bring your pickup email to a kiosk and scan your QR code. Passholders can use a kiosk at any U.S. Power Pass mountain; lift ticket guests use a kiosk at the mountain their ticket is for. Your card prints in seconds. Pickup is a one-time stop.

How do I print it?

Chains are usually only required right after or during a snow storm, We always suggest having chains with you just in case of heavy snow or road restrictions. You can find out about any road closures or restrictions at www.nvroads.com or by calling 511.

I bought passes for my whole family. Does one scan print every card?

Not for this first rollout. Each passholder gets their own email with their own QR code, so scan each QR code to print each card. Going forward, when you make a new purchase, all the cards in that purchase print together.

Can I pick up my Power Kids Pass or my Super Senior Pass at the Kiosk?
