LEE CANYON IS HIRING: 150 JOB OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

Winter Job Fair

LAS VEGAS (OCT. 16, 2023)– Lee Canyon is looking for people who want to work where they play. Today, the resort announced there are about 150 employment opportunities available online. Full and part-time openings include seasonal positions in food and beverage, guest services, Lee Canyon’s ski and snowboard school, Lee Canyon Sports, mountain operations, and more. The resort also has openings in year-round positions like accounting, food and beverage, and maintenance. Candidates can apply online.

“We’re looking for people who share our passion about the outdoors and who value community connection,” says Jim Seely, Lee Canyon’s director of marketing. “Lee Canyon is a great way to get started working in Nevada’s outdoor recreation industry that’s growing fast.”

For many roles, skiing and snowboarding experience isn’t required. The resort says in the past, many non-skier employees became inspired to learn. For other team members, the appeal of working in the mountains is something different.

“Many employees are drawn to Lee Canyon because of our unique culture. Like Las Vegas, we prioritize the guest experience. But we mostly cater to locals, so our team helps in fostering community, which is a rewarding experience,” says Seely.

Some employee benefits like health insurance and 401 (k) plans are based on eligibility requirements. There’s a significant end-of-season bonus for Lee Canyon staffers who fulfill their season employment in good standing. All Lee Canyon team members receive perks like paid commute time and ski passes for Lee Canyon and sister properties like Brian Head Resort in nearby southern Utah, Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff, and Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colo., and other Mountain Capital Partners resorts. Also, staffers receive one family or dependent pass for a spouse, life partner, or child.

Lee Canyon also offers promotion opportunities and certification training. For example, ski and snowboard instructors can go through the Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI) certifications, resulting in a pay scale bump. Typically, Lee Canyon’s winter season starts in early to mid-December. Opening day for the 2023/24 winter season will be announced in the weeks ahead. This winter, guests will enjoy new amenities like the new Ponderosa quad chair lift and a 450-stall parking area this winter. For more information, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
