Experience the New Lee Canyon

Lee Canyon at Night

Over the past five years, Lee Canyon has undergone a remarkable transformation, investing $17 million to enhance its facilities and guest experience.

This significant investment has brought numerous improvements and additions, making Lee Canyon a premier destination for year-round outdoor enthusiasts. Here, we highlight the key developments that have elevated the resort to new heights.

The Hillside Lodge

In December 2019, Lee Canyon unveiled the Hillside Lodge, a state-of-the-art, 10,000-square-foot facility designed to transform the guest experience. The two-story building, featuring a modern architectural style, seamlessly integrates with the natural environment while providing unparalleled comfort and convenience.

The Hillside Lodge boasts both indoor and outdoor spaces with sweeping views of Lee Canyon, offering guests an immersive alpine experience. The outdoor heated terrace and patio dining spaces provide the perfect setting for enjoying a snack. New Lifts: Expanding Skiing and Riding Opportunities

Also, in 2022, Lee Canyon added two new lifts, further expanding the resort’s skiing and riding opportunities. The Ponderosa chairlift, a Skytrac fixed-grip quad lift, is 1,500 feet long and has an uphill capacity of 1,800 passengers per hour. Located on the southeast side of the mountain, Ponderosa provides access to popular runs like Bonanza Ridge, Foxtail Alley, and Limber Pine Lane. These trails are perfect for skiers and snowboarders looking to hone their skills.

In addition to the Ponderosa chairlift, Lee Canyon introduced Alpenglow, a 500-foot surface lift designed specifically for beginners. This lift offers a gentle introduction to the slopes, making it easier for new guests to build confidence!

Ponderosa Base Area & Parking: Enhancing Accessibility

In 2022, Lee Canyon introduced the new Ponderosa Base Area and a 450-stall parking lot, significantly improving accessibility for guests. The new rental structure at Ponderosa Base Area is designed to serve more visitors efficiently, streamlining the rental process and getting guests on the slopes faster.

The 450-stall parking area provides easy access to the Ponderosa chairlift and Rabbit Peak terrain, perfect for first-times and families. This enhancement ensures that all guests, regardless of their skill level, can enjoy a stress-free start to their day at the resort.

Lee Canyon’s $17 million investment over the past five years has significantly enhanced the resort’s facilities and guest experience. Lee Canyon’s modern Hillside Lodge, improved base area, new lifts, and mountain bike trails make it a premier year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Technology Access Gates: Streamlining the Guest Experience

To enhance the efficiency and convenience of accessing the lifts, Lee Canyon has installed technology access gates that automatically scan and read a guest’s RFID card stored in their pocket. This innovation eliminates the need for manual scanning, reducing lift lines and allowing guests to keep their passes securely tucked away.

With lift operators able to focus solely on lift operations, the overall guest experience is smoother and more enjoyable. This technological advancement ensures that visitors spend more time on the slopes and less time in lines.
