LAS VEGAS (AUGUST 9, 2023) Lee Canyon announces today the opening of the much anticipated green trail in its downhill mountain bike park. The trail is 2.2 miles of terrain that’s easier than the current blue (more difficult) and black (most difficult) trails. Also, today, Lee Canyon kicks off the all-new Experience Downhill package. A great introduction to the sport or refresher, guests get roughly two hours in a group setting with a mountain bike guide and rental gear, including a mountain bike, helmet, and protective elbow and knee pad. Experience Downhill is $69 on weekdays and $89 on weekends.

“The green trail’s easier terrain is a great starting point for newer mountain bikers. Now friend groups or families with riders of different ability levels can enjoy the mountain in a way that’s comfortable for each rider,” says Jim Seely, Lee Canyon’s director of marketing. “Lee Canyon continues to create diverse experiences so people can have fun and connect with nature.”

Trail work in Lee Canyon’s downhill mountain bike park continues; more trail openings are expected in the weeks ahead.

Friday, Aug. 11, Lee Canyon rolls out its first-ever summer Feel Good Fridays. Modeled after the resort’s popular winter season fundraiser for the High Fives Foundation, full-day passes for Lee Canyon’s downhill mountain bike park every Friday will be $25, and Experience Downhill packages will be $49. The resort will donate $5 to the Reno-based nonprofit for every pass or package purchase.

During Feel Good Fridays, from 1 to 5 p.m. on the Sky Deck, guests will enjoy music from a lineup of favorite local DJs. Starting Friday, Aug. 11, Hillside Lodge’s Bristlecone Bar and Sky Deck will be open Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Through Feel Good Fridays, Lee Canyon has generated over $80,000 for the High Five Foundation’s adaptive athlete programs like skiing and mountain biking.

Lee Canyon is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
